Let's have a talk about excellence!

Simply put, mastery is the contest for superiority or expertise in a thing . I understand quite clearly that we're spiritual beings, yeah! Unfortunately most Christians use that as an excuse for mediocrity. 

Permit me to ask you these questions....

You sing? Yeah, but how well do you sing??

You're into art work? Yeah, but how would you scale your creativity and skill?? And what standard would you use to measure???

It's funny how a large number of believers only strive to know things at their convenience and then bench themselves at a low standards and soon begin to blame the devil for their misfortunes. 

The world cannot turn their backs on excellence or mastery! Know this truth!!

If you want to be relevant in this generation, whatever field that may be, you have to be excellent in it. 

Success is birthed through consistent discipline that stack up over time to produce achievements far beyond anything you could have ever planned for. Note that those performances have to be headed towards excellence. 

Few days ago, I had a thought about what it really meant to be the best web developer and it got me scared. Lol... what got me scared was the obvious steps I knew I had to take to be excellent in that field and the level of discipline I knew I had to apply; amongst other relevant keys. 

Despite the difficulty that may come with learning the art of mastery, one good news is that it can be learned up until it becomes your attitude. Once your approach to life is to be the best at what you do no matter where you find yourself, then you're one step close to success.

 

In the book “Attitude Is Everything” by Keith Barrel, the author offers an enlightening, inspiring, and practical guide for gaining control of your career and your life by ridding yourself of negative attitudinal baggage, building positive attitudes, and then turning them into actions to help you achieve your dreams.

Do you strive to be the best at school, in your place of work, in your skills and handiwork? Even in your pursuit of God, do you strive to know Him beyond the usual norm? I'm talking about intimacy here!

Let excellence be your attitude!!!

Just don’t get caught up in the habit of complacency. Strive to STAND OUT!
