stay tuned! and please don't forget to hit the like button or drop your comments
Here's a recap on the session I had few weeks ago...
Your mind is that starting point of success. Transformation or success starts from the renewing of the mind with ideas and attitudes.
Life's battles don't always go to the strongest or fastest man
But somehow or later, the man who wins is the man who thinks he can.
It's necessary to that we understand the sequence
Words produce thoughts
Thoughts produce emotions
Emotions produce decisions
Decisions produce actions
Actions produce habits
Habits produce character
Character produces destiny👌
Relationships are advantageous connections. It can give you connections, endorsement and platforms.
Trust me if you have valid answers to these questions right now, it shows you've been working on what we learnt last time😄😄
*Who will remember you when he gets to the throne???*
*Who's destiny are you investing in right now????*
NOW LETS GO INTO THE BUSINESS OF TODAY!!
Ensure you go through this with your pen at hand and questions at heart. Cos I'll entertain questions anytime we' have gone through it successfully.
Last time, someone asked a question and I'll be giving answer right now
Question- *How does our emotion produce the right decision??*
Answer-
Emotions is part of every human. It's always there even when you're not conscious of it.
Emotions are neither good nor bad😄. It all depends on how and wher it is used😎
Emotions plays its own roles in situations of challenges, pleasant occurrences😇, annoying situations😡, crushes😃🥰🥰 etc. The list goes on and on.
The key is to learn how to channel your emotions when making decisions😁
I'll stop here...I believe it has been well explained
CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE
When I started the first session, if you can remember I talked about mediocrity.
Rem the instance of some of our course mates who would usually say *I just want upper , I don't need distinction*
Well, trust me as sincere as that sounds, it's a sign of mediocrity.
Campus life is an avenue to Learn to bring it the best in you wherever you find yourself.
Nothing mediocre amounts to greatness.
Now I'm not just talking about getting a first class or distinction🙂🙂
Trust me, getting the first degree is a good *start*
It's just a start!!!
Why do I say so?
It's because *your certificate could give you a job, but competence promotes you.*
Many only focus on getting first class and as good as it may sound, they are shocked when they finally graduate from schools.
Why??
It's because that's not all the recruiter is looking for.My point here is
The process is not only about the end but rather an attitude!!! *An attitude to always give your best wherever you find yourself*
Excellence is a culture that has to be learned. And the best time to do that is now! Here in campus!!!😃😃
I'll be giving us just two points that are key to having a culture of excellence. I'll leave you to do research for the rest😄😁😁😁
1. You must have a reference ( an individual that reflects your aspiration). If your reference is small your outcome will also be small.
2. Submit yourself to mentorship. And *one of the greatest ways of receiving mentorship is by observation*
*Excellence is an habit not an act*
SELF DEVELOPMENT
Discovery is important but development is much more important!!!
That's the next way to maximise your campus life👆
And on a sincere note, I do not take this particular one for granted.
Life here on campus gives you opportunities to advance your skills and vocation. It's not about receiving lectures from 8am to 5pm.
Trust me it's good to attend lectures😃
Don't go and be missing classes oo😂
But then I'm sure you must have heard of many seminars, career fares etc. Trust me these things are very important
I'll speak now on engineering cos that my field. Not that I'm bias o🤪🤪
Now you're running your hnd or BSc program
Don't relax and feel you've made it🤪
What about abilities like software programming, AutoCAD, efficient use of Microsoft applications and Corel draw
It's here in school that you can acquire these abilities
And even at a cheaper rate
Don't just do la cram la pour and leave with only your certificate.
Employers are not only looking for first class. They want to see an extra factor that separates you from others.
It ranges from work ethics, attitude, emotional intelligence, technical skills etc.
Asides the details of your first class certificate, what else can you put in your resume or CV that will catch d attention of the recruiter?????
*Campus life gives room for self development*
Make your research....most of these great people didn't really have a first degree but the engaged in self development!!!
Formal education will make you a living but self education will make you a life.
We live in the age of customization where everyone can teach themselves.
*Now you've got all the time compared to the ones youll get in other phases of you life.*
Let me just chip this in
The smartest people in the world never quit their education, though some of them dropped out of school but they went into self education, they went after their strength and passions!!!!!!
Read books, make research, be informed, attend seminars, attend career fare, get involved in deep immersions. This will help you connect with people of like minds and passion.
Shine on!
