STANDING OUT

One major challenge faced by christians today is the difficulty of standing out. We find it hard to make firm decisions on the priorities and principles which govern our lives.



The Bible is full of records of christians who stood out for light even in persecution and trials. Some of them are Daniel, Joseph, Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego, Jeremiah,Stephen, The Apostles etc. Several apostles and disciples of God were crucified and matyred for the sake of the gospel but in christendom today,there have been exaggeration of certain truths,underemphasis of certain truths and the priorities of God has been misplaced. Most christians know the scriptures so well yet they mingle with the crowd. Its time for christians to stand out;its time for you to choose whose side you're gonna be on;the devil is recruiting...no time for mixing light with the darkness,be black or be white,no more shades of grey,be separated and holy;even if it means standing alone cos one with God is a majority. Greg Laurie once told a story of a man who tried to live in two different worlds by compromising. This young man could not decide what side he wanted to fight during the civil war. He put on the coat of the North and the trousers of the South and guess what? He got shot at from both sides! Living in two worlds is a miserable place to be. There's no middle road. You cant straddle the fence. You must totally accept or reject Him and to not totally accept Him is to reject Him. Rev3:16. Its time to wake up!
